Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Software Quality Assurance Manager to oversee all QA projects within our organization. This role requires a strong background in Microsoft SQL Server and Azure DevOps/TFS, along with proven supervisory experience and expertise in software testing. The QA Manager will work closely with development directors, business stakeholders, and QA automation engineers to ensure the highest quality standards are met. You will manage a team of 17+ onshore and offshore Quality Assurance engineers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage day-to-day QA project activities and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Coordinate QA and UAT efforts with development teams and business stakeholders.
  • Analyze QA data to identify growth opportunities and improve processes.
  • Collaborate with QA Automation Engineers to minimize manual testing efforts.
  • Implement and uphold company SDLC standards and conduct QA audits.
  • Produce and deliver QA reports and data insights.
  • Participate in product testing as needed to ensure quality deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, identifying needs, tasks, milestones, and resource requirements.
  • Monitor project milestones and critical dates to ensure adherence to schedules, identifying and resolving any issues.
  • Provide regular internal and external updates on project progress.
  • Conduct project risk assessments, create mitigation strategies, and manage contingency plans.
  • Demonstrate leadership in resolving conflicts and making informed decisions.
  • Participate in project quality monitoring and conduct project evaluations.
  • Attend industry conferences and training as budget allows.
  • Contribute to team meetings, offering insights and resolutions to incidents and data quality issues.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure DevOps/TFS, and MS Office Suite, including Project and Visio.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience in QA or a related field, with a strong ability to develop and manage staff.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as a software tester or in a related role.
  • Experience with HRIS and Payroll management systems is highly desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across teams and levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership, negotiation, conflict management, and team-building abilities.
  • Self-motivated and able to handle diverse and challenging assignments with initiative and independence.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to adapt to shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record in mentoring, coaching, and training employees.
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and facilitation techniques.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • HRIS or Payroll system experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and tools.
  • Ability to maintain both a detailed and big-picture perspective on projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business or HR-related field required.
