Position Summary: 

Reporting to the Finance Operations Manager, the Finance Operations Specialist will support surrounding departmental functions, which include problem solving, responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders and resolving issues.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Review daily direct deposit fraud scan
  • Process daily ACH Returns
  • Set up pricing changes
  • Assist the Employment Tax team with client-related projects
  • Workers' comp code / carrier changes
  • New hire reporting
  • Process tax adjustments
  • Assist with quarterly and annual regulatory projects
  • Client bonus approvals
  • Process invoice adjustments
  • Monthly audits
  • Garnishment order setups
  • Create client and employee termination letters
  • IT system validation testing
  • Assist with other ad-hoc projects as assigned

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Willingness to learn new tasks
  • Experience with general payroll
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent math skills
  • Well organized, and ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work well with others, including other departments
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency with payroll processing software
  • PEO experience preferred

Educational and Professional Licensing or Certification Requirements:

  • High School Education
