Position Summary:

The Senior AP Analyst reports to the Controller and will focus on supervising accounts payable clerks, managing corporate credit card and expense reimbursement program and performing reconciliations as requested by the Controller

Essential Job Functions:

  • Supervise team of accounts payable clerks (benefits, workers comp, tax, unclaimed property, etc.) with day-to-day transaction processing (invoices, check disbursements, employee reimbursements)
  • Administer corporate card and expense reimbursement program for 150 users
  • Work alongside Controller on month-end close duties
  • Reconcile Historical Aged Trial Balance to AP Subledger on monthly basis
  • Manage annual 1099 reporting process
  • Assist with annual audit preparation
  • Maintain accurate and complete vendor records
  • Monitor vendor payment terms to improve working capital and cash flow
  • Develops, implements and maintains AP policies and procedures
  • Additional duties as may be deemed necessary by upper management

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 4 years of relevant accounting/AP experience and 2 years supervisory experience
  • Must be able to operate at a fast pace and cope with change
  • Must have experience dealing with high volume of transactions
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, etc.) required
  • Must be comfortable with Pivot table and Vlookup functions in excel
  • Great Plains experience preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Attention to detail
  • Well organized, and ability to prioritize and meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work well with others, including other departments

Educational and Professional Licensing or Certification Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree in Accounting or Finance preferred
